Decorate your Graduation Cap 2

Hi everyone!! My sister graduated from high school last year and asked for my help to decorate her cap! She is going to school for nursing and wanted to use that theme. She came to me with a cute idea that she had found on Pinterest where a stethoscope is shaped like a heart.

Supplies:

• Graduation cap
• Scrapbook paper
• Scrapbook jewel stickers
• Exacto knife
• Cricut or Silhouette
• Pencil
• Hot glue gun

We knew we wanted a border on the cap, and figured out that we could measure the glitter paper to cover the full size of the cap and then measure and cut the maroon paper to fit just inside so it would look like a border. This made it so much easier then having to glue on the border because it easily fit over the button on top of the cap. I cut the holes using an exacto knife. I then lightly drew with a pencil the outline of how we wanted the stethoscope to look and then I had my sister start sticking on the jewel stickers.

We bought jewel sticker strips which made it easy to just stick rows of jewels down instead of each individual jewel. We did have to super glue some of them in place because they did not necessarily stay on, but we love the final product! I used my Cricut all of the letters out. Here's another cute idea done by my friend for her college graduation cap last year!! We actually got the idea to use jewel sticker strips from her!! What makes this cap so awesome is how easy it was to do! The crystal design is actually an embellishment sticker you can buy! How cute is this? I'm in love with the Tiffany Blue!

Here's Rachel's cap that she decorated when she graduated with her Bachelor's degree last spring, she worked long and hard for her degree and it was a huge celebration when she finished!
