Game Day Ribbon Flip Flops
Tonight is Opening Night at Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington!! Today I'm sharing my game day ribbon flip flops that I made to wear to Rangers games. They were fun to make, but a little more tedious than the Everyday Flip Flops that I posted earlier this week.
Feel free to use my Amazon suggested links below: {I am an Amazon affiliate which means if you purchase anything from my lists, I will get a tiny portion back. I only include things I personally have purchased and love!!!}

There was a lot more to making these bow flip flops, but they are so adorable! I started by making a blue bow, I decided that having double loops would look super cute. I safety pinned it exactly the way I wanted it to look, then I made the same blue bow and safety pinned that one as well. Then I made a red bow the exact same way I made the blue one and also did double loops except this time I made the bow smaller in overall size so it wouldn't take away from the blue bow. Then I pinned it to the already made blue bow. Naturally I did this twice. Then I made a regular bow out of the baseball ribbon that I found and pinned that to the stacked blue and red bows. Once I had my bows symmetrical I placed them on the 'V' of the flip flop and wrapped wire around the bow to make sure that it was secured. This worked a lot better than hot gluing the bows because there were so many. Finally I cut a 'V' into the ends of the baseball ribbon to add a little character.
I've been saving beer bottle caps for a long time and have a very extensive amount saved. I grabbed 2 that were dark blue and went out to my patio and smashed them flat with my rubber mallet. I chose the Texas Rangers logo below to glue onto the bottle caps. I made sure to get the the exact size of the top of the bottle cap. Then I stuck the paper onto the smashed bottle cap and used clear acrylic glue and squeezed and even layer onto the paper and the bottle cap. I made sure that it looked like a clear coating. Be sure and let this dry for a few days before touching so that it is extra hard and durable. Also be sure that the paper is flat on the bottle cap because it will dry the way you set it.
And here they are my finished ribbon flip flops. They're a bit over the top, but just right for a Rangers fan like me to wear to games! Need a dress to wear with these? Check out my Game Day Dress!
What team would you make these flip flops for?
