IKEA Hack: Hidden Jewelry Storage
I was desperately looking for a place to store all of my jewelry. While shopping at IKEA I saw this awesome mirror, the Stave, that was being sold with hinges. I quickly realized how brilliant it would be to use this mirror to store jewelry! So here is my very own IKEA hack! For another great closet organization idea heck out my Closet Space Saver post or Rachel's Simple Scarf or Belt Hanger!

When I saw the mirror I thought of several ideas on how I could add wood to the back side of the mirror to create space for hooks that I could hang my jewelry from. When I got the mirror home and opened it up I saw that there were already two pieces of wood attached to the backside of the mirror for support, so there was no need to add more. I put cardboard down behind the two pieces of wood and spray painted them dark brown to match the mirror. I measured out 8 tea cup hooks at first, but realized I could fit 10 evenly across the top of the mirror. I drilled the holes and then hand screwed in the tea cup hooks. After the two support pieces dried I measured out ten tea cup hooks for each one and drilled the holes and screwed them in. Then I mounted the mirror to the wall in my closet and hung all of my jewelry! This project was so easy! I also put a dark brown mesh tray on the wall that I keep my bracelets in and hang my earrings from. It isn't as sleek as the mirror, but it does the trick for me!
