Letterpress Drawer as Trinket Shelf

Have you seen those large letterpress drawers at antique stores? They are fairly inexpensive... I see them pretty consistently from $20-$30. Elisabeth and her family showed me how to use them as a trinket shelf in your home and I've shared this unique idea with my own family. Here are several pictures of letterpress drawers used as little trinket shelves.

The first picture and these next two pictures are Elisabeth's mom's letterpress drawers in her kitchen. I love how she even has little things handing from the bottom of the drawers and on the wall around it. Every time I visit her mom I just love to look through all of her little figurines.

This next letterpress drawer is my sister's. We love antiquing together and finding things to put in each other's.

This is my letterpress drawer. It is hanging in the kitchen. When people visit it is a great conversation piece with all the little trinkets and neat finds inside.

I like to fill mine with things that remind me of my childhood or little things that make me think of my family or husband. One time my mom came over and we practiced with polymer clay to make neat little figurines to put inside. Elisabeth's mom puts souvenirs from family trips. I love that you can personalize them however you like and they look great on any wall.

What would you use a letterpress drawer for?
