Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending my friend, Adriana’s, bachelorette party. Let me tell you, we had a blast despite the unusual May rain we were experiencing in Texas. Adriana chose to have her bachelorette party floating the river outside of San Marcos, in Texas hill country. We stayed for two nights at some great cabins, Hideout on the Horseshoe, on the Guadalupe River. The best part about these cabins is you can stay and float which means your tubes to float are included and you can get off right in front of the cabins! I wanted to not only share our fun trip, but the crafts some of us made for Adriana and the girls attending.
The bachelorette party was a full weekend of events. Here is the adorable invite Adriana’s sister, Gabby, made for everyone. Gabby is not only a graphic designer, but she owns her own Etsy shop like us, she also has a great friend that she crafts with! They are PROSISEly from the HART and they make the cutest bows and onesies, the models are their precious little daughters! You can reach their shop here.
We left Dallas Friday afternoon around 1p to get to the cabin around 5p, unfortunately we hit quite a bit of traffic making it a much longer drive. We did however come up with the brilliant idea to stop at Magnolia Market in Waco on the way down and see Chip and Joanna’s shop that’s featured on Fixer Upper! We all took home cute ceramic mugs. The best part was Chip Gaines tweeting back at the tweet I posted telling us girls to behave, I love that show!
The color scheme was mint and gold and Gabby did the best job picking out all of the decorations. She put so much thought into everything that she made and everything turned out so great! The flags read the weekend’s hashtag #CodyPutARingOnIt and Gabby found the sign in Hobby Lobby and added the clothespin in order to add the picture from Adriana’s engagement shoot.
Another friend of Adriana’s, Ashli, made the CUTEST hangover kits for everyone! The attention to detail and thought that went into these is amazing!! She painted them and decorated them by hand. She included chapstick, Band-Aids, water, gum, Tylenol, Gatorade chews, Rolaids, and the cutest temporary tattoos! The tattoos read “I’m with Adie’s Bachelorette Party If I’m lost, please buy me a drink and return me!” Too cute right, check them out here!
I glittered some champagne bottles with leftover gold glitter from my golden birthday party for more decor and Ashli brought the delicious cupcakes which were pink champagne and red wine chocolate flavored.
Adriana and I spent an entire day embroidering the hats for all of the girls attending and personalizing tumblers for them to take on the river float. I love how they turned out! If you love them we have them available in our shop on Etsy as well as some other cute hats here!!
The cutest thing Gabby made was the the flower crown for Adriana to wear during her bachelorette weekend! I love the veil and think she should offer them in her Etsy shop!
Friday night we all got to hang out in PJ’s while we played bachelorette games. The most fun was the Panty game where each girl had to buy a pair of panties that represented them and Adriana had to guess who brought what!
Saturday morning it rained and we still decided to brave it and get in the river to float. Lucky for us the rain let up for us to actually float and we got to enjoy some sun! After our float was over the bottom dropped out and we had rain for most of the evening. Despite the rain we hung out on the covered patio with the other neighbors there for Memorial Day weekend and had a blast!
That night we got ready and went to the Gristmill in Gruene for dinner. We all wore cowboy boots, cut-off shorts, and plaid shirts because we were going dancing at Gruene Hall after dinner. Let me tell you it poured, but that didn’t stop our fun, I even learned how to two-step!
This trip was truly a blast and it was fun making new friends. I’m so excited to see Adriana get married at the end of June in Puerto Rico! I also can’t wait to bring Cassie and our husbands to Hideout at the Horseshoe!
