I recently made this fun summer wreath that takes no time at all to make!
First, I got an 18″ wire wreath ($3.49), 6 pairs of flip flops ($2.00 each-on sale), and a bundle of flowers ($1.73 on sale) all at JoAnns. Plus I had a coupon for 15% off, so the whole thing cost about $15!
I placed the flip flops around the wreath, moving them until I got them the way I liked. Then I glued a small amount of hot glue on the two center wires of the wreath, and placed the flip flop on top.
Next, I pulled the flowers off of their stems and placed them around the flip flops. I glued them down using hot glue. At first I tried to glue the center of the flower down to the wreath itself, but found it was better to glue the flower to the adjacent flip flops.
Then, I turned the wreath over, and applied more hot glue to the back of each flip flop and flower to ensure they were secure. And there you have it- a super simple and super fun summer wreath!
What kind of summer items can you make a wreath with?
