Are you looking for a gift for that hard to buy for guy? Look no further. My husband loved the first bouquet I made in my original post the man bouquet . This time I thought I’d follow it up with another version by using a beer mug instead of a flower pot. It looks even better!
The day that I discovered how to make burlap wreaths changed my world! Now burlap wreaths are all I make and I’m always trying to figure out unique ones! I am especially fond of this wreath because I got the idea while brainstorming with hubby. Check out the tutorial on how I made this Valentine’s wreath for my door.
I was wanting to find some fun home decor crafts in honor of Valentine’s Day. When I started searching through Pinterest I couldn’t find anything that I really liked. Everything seemed to look like child crafts or even a bit cheese-y. There were many wreath choices but I was wanting something for home decor. After some thinking I had the idea to paint wood blocks to resemble conversation hearts. The result turned out great!
I love decorating for holidays! A simple wreath on the front porch is an easy way to show your holiday spirit without going overboard! Here are the ones I made for Valentines Day and St. Patrick’s Day:
Are you struggling to find a good teacher’s gift this Valentine’s Day? Laminating pouches are so helpful and useful to have. I use these in my own classroom all the time. If I opened a gift and found these little pouches inside I would be thrilled.
I have the best tutorial today! I’ve always struggled with making bows. No matter what I did and no matter how many videos I watched, I could never master the hand movements and the twisting and the turning of the ribbon to make it look “just right.” Until today.
In honor of Valentine’s Day being a month away I am sharing a Valentine’s gift that I’ve done in the past. My, “52 Reasons Why I Love You” playing cards.
My husband is working late tonight and has been all week. I feel like I have hardly seen him! 😦 I wanted to do something special for him because he had been working so hard. I saw an idea on Pinterest about using tiny liquor bottles to tape onto skewers and placing into a basket. It’s called, “The Man’s Bouquet.” Instead of flowers or roses, they get all of their favorite things. The best part about this gift is that you can personalize it to fit your husband’s, dad’s, brother’s, friend’s favorite things.
Below is a picture of my materials. I bought a normal flower-pot (which my husband doesn’t know yet but I will be taking back to put flowers in later, I just didn’t want to get something we’d throw away after this). I also got: peanuts, grass filler, a foam disk, wooden skewers, variety of liquor bottles (small), a 5 hour energy shot, gum, beef jerky, chap stick (my husband is obsessed), and scratch offs. I also have a picture of scrapbook paper and camo-eggs in the picture but I ended up not using them. I thought it would be cute to put sweet notes or handwritten ‘coupons’ inside the eggs for him to open, but after putting this craft together there was no room for them.
